Saraiki in Universities of Pakistan

According to Education Policy 2009 :
The regional Language are being made compulsory subject in all schools and colleges. Saraiki is an important Language in Pakistan. 
Saraiki is also spoken in Jhang, Bakhar , Mandi Bahaudin and Other regions .

Bahauddin Zakriya university Multan and Islamia University have their Saraiki Departments. Bzu & Islamia universities are requested to Start B S Saraiki & Ph.D Saraiki.

1. Bahauddin Zakriya university Multan has Saraiki area Study centre. So It is requested that in this centre M.A , B.S and M.Phil in following subjects be started as soon as possible.
  1. Saraikistan Studies,
  2. History of Saraikistan,
  3. Geography of Saraikistan,
  4. Culture of Saraikistan,
  5. Archaeology of Saraikistan,


2. Saraiki be made and allowed as medium of instruction and medium of examination of Islamiat compulsory & Pakistan Studies compulsory in MBBS, B.Sc. (Eng), Agriculture & Pharmacy and all other programs. All Master Programs in Social Sciences and Arts  be allowed in Saraiki also  in B Z U, Islamia, women Multan , women Bahawalpur, Gomal and Sargodh university.


3.  For internet and computers Uni code for Saraiki  has been approved in  2006. Due to lack of interest of Saraiki departments and Vice chancellors, in windows, Google and emails Saraiki language is not included  These windows , Google , Yahoo and others be requested  to add Saraiki. 
  



Kindly in  women  university Multn , university of Sargodha, University of Gujrat and University of Faisalabad Saraiki Departments be established and MA  and B.S saraiki be started.

KhyberPukhtoonkha Text Book Board Peshawar has prepared currlculum for saraiki compulsory  from grade 1  upto F.A/ F.Sc.  grade 12.   So this may be consulted also. It is requested Saraiki for Matric be introduced in this year. For this syllabus and book be prepared. So experts from Bise Multan, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi khan, Sahiwal, D I Khan and Federal Board Islamabad be consulted for Book and Syllabus as soon as possible.

قومی اور سرکاری زبانیں


سرائیکی،  سندھی، پشتو اور اردو کو قومی اور سرکاری زبانیں بنایا جائے۔



 اردو پاکستان کی قومی اور کُچھ   حد تک تعلیمی عدالتی اور سرکاری زبان ہے۔  صوبہ سندھ میں سندھی  کُچھ   حد تک تعلیمی عدالتی اور سرکاری زبان ہے۔ تعلیمی پالیسی دوہزار نو کے مطابق  علاقائی زبان پہلی سے بارہویں تک لازمی مضمون ہو گی اور ذریعہ تعلیم ہوگی۔ صوبہ خیبر پختونخواہ میں پشتو ذریعہ تعلیم  کے سکول بھی موجود ہیں  اور   پشتو   اور   سرائیکی بطور لازمی مضمون شروع کی جا رہی ہے۔ باقی علاقوں مثلاً  سرگودھا جھنگ ساہیوال ملتان وغیرہ میں سرائیکی کو لازمی کیا جائے اور ذریعہ  تعلیم بنایا جائے۔ پنجاب    اور بلوچستان میں پنجابیوں اور بلوچوں کی حکومتوں کے باوجود پنجابی اور بلوچی کا فروغ نہیں ہوسکا۔  اس لئیے اب  صرف  سرائیکی سندھی پشتو اور اردو میدان میں ہیں۔     وفاقی اردو یونیورسٹی کے قیام سےاعلیٰ تعلیم   پر انگریزی کی اجارہ داری ختم ہو چکی ہے۔اقوام متحدہ کی قراردادوں کے مطابق   مادری زبانوں کو ذریعہ تعلیم بنانا اشد ضروری ہے۔ہم انگریزی کی تعلیم پر اربوں   روپے برباد کر رہے ہیں۔ شرح خواندگی بڑھانے کے لیےہر سطح پر  انگریزی کو اختیاری کر   د ینا چاہیے۔ ریاضی اور سائنس میں بھی ذریعہ تعلیم انگریزی کو نہ بنایا جائے۔ قومی  اور علاقائی زبانوں کو بنایا جائے۔ انگریزی اختیاری کرنے سے دینی مدارس بھی قومی دھارے میں داخل کئے جا     سکتے     ھیں۔     بی اے۔ بی ایس سی   تک  سندھی، پشتو یا سرائیکی  کو لازمی مضمون اور ذریعہ تعلیم بنایا جانا اشد ضروری ہے۔تمام مدارس،سکولوں اور کالجوں کے طلباء اور طالبات کو انگریزی کے بغیر   میٹرک ، ایف اے اور بی اے کرایا جائے۔انگریزی کو اختیاری بنا دیا جائے۔
    دفتری اور سرکاری امور کے لئے     مقامی زبانیں استعمال کرنے میں کونسا امر مانع ہے۔ حالاںکہ وطنِ عزیز کے اداروں ، دفاتر،  محکموں   اورعدالتوں کے اکثر   اساتذہ، کلرک ،افسر   اور   وکلاء انگریزی لِکھ   پڑھ  سمجھ اور بول نہیں سکتے۔ لہذا ذریعہ ابلاغ انگریزی کو بالکل نہ بنایا جائے۔ انگریزی کی وجہ سے تمام دفتری اور عدالتی امور متاثر ہو رہے ہیں۔
مقابلے کے امتحانات، سی ایس ایس ، صوبائی    سروس کمیشن،   میڈیکل ، انجینیرنگ اور تمام دیگر یونیورسٹیوں میں ذریعہ تعلیم اور ذریعہ امتحانات اردو    یا   سرائیکی یا سندھی یا پشتو    کو    بنایا  جائے۔     نیز     بی اے سطح تک سرائیکی  کو   لازمی کیا جائے۔
ایم اے۔ ایم ایس سی ۔ ایل ایل بی۔ بی ایڈ ۔ایم     ایڈ   ،  ایم بی اے  اور ایم کام میں بھی سرائیکی  ، سندھی  پشتو     اور اردو   کو متبادل ذریعہ تعلیم اور ذریعہ امتحان بنایا جائے۔
ہر سرکاری اور نجی ٹی وی چینل پر سرائیکی، سندھی، پشتو، اردو،   پنجابی اور بلوچی کو ہر روز چار چار گھنٹے دیئے جائیں۔ ہندکو، میرپور اور پوٹھوہاری کا وقت پنجابی میں شامل ہوگا۔ بروہی کا بلوچی میں۔
نادرا کو ہدائت کی جائے کہ سرائیکی زبان اور سرائیکی سافٹویئر کے ساتھ شناختی کارݙ جاری کرے۔ عدالتیں سرائیکی کو عدالتی زبان بنائیں ۔ رٹ، شہادت اور فیصلہ حکم کی زبان بنائیں۔

Languages of Pakistan

Punjabi, Saraiki, Pashtu, Sindhi,Hindko, Balochi and Brahui are important  languages of Pakistan.

In Pakistan Saraiki  is the language of 40%, Punjabi 18%, Pashtu 15%, Sindhi 12%,  Urdu 7%, Balochi 3% ,  Brahui 2%   and other languages 3%.

Punjabi: Majhi spoken in Lahore, Gujranwala and Sialkot is called Punjabi. In India Amritsar, Tarn Taran Sahib, and Gurdaspur Districts of the State of Punjab Majhi is also spoken.  Doabi, Pwadhi and Malwi dialects  of Punjabi are spoken in India . Only half area of Majhi speaking is related to Pakistan,

Saraiki: Standard Saraiki , Dibhari Saraiki or Eastern Saraiki ( Jhang,  Cheniot, Sahiwal, Kamalia. Pindi Bhattian, Mandi Bahaudin,  Okara, Bahawalnagar), Northern Saraiki  Kohati or Chakwali or Awankari (Chakwal, Pindi Gheb and Kohat) and Southern  Saraiki (Jaffarabad, Naseerabad, Jhalmagsi, Ghotki, Kashmore, Jackabad, Dadu) are the four common dialects of Saraiki. Standard Saraiki is 80%, Dibhari is 10%, Northern Saraiki is 5% and Sindh aali Saraiki is 5%. Saraiki has 44 alphabets  with five Special Saraiki alphabets namely, ٻ، ڄ ،ݙ، ڳ & ݨ . The total number of Saraiki Speaking people in Pakistan is more than 80 million or 8 crore.

Pashtu: Pashtu of Peshawer, Bannuchi and Quetta  pashtu are Pashtu languages.  

Sindhi: Sindhi is spoken in Sindh.


Balochi: Eastern Balochi [bgp] in Northeast Balochistan Province, northwest Sindh, southwest Punjab, Southern Balochi [bcc] in South Balochistan, south Sindh, Karachi, Western Balochi [bgn] in Northwest Baluchistan Province. are Balochi language.





Hindko: Northern Hindko [hno] Hazara division, Mansehra and Abbotabad districts, Indus and Kaghan valleys and Indus valley tributaries, Southern Hindko [hnd] Punjab Province, Attock district, to south Hazara division, NWFP;  Peshawar district  and Pothohari [phr] Pahari: Rawalpindi, Murree Hills, and east in Azad Kashmir (Poonchi (Punchhi) and Chibhali); north in the lower half of the Neelum Valley. Potwari: Pothwar Plateau, from Rawalpindi to Gujar Khan and south to Jhelum. Mirpuri: southern Azad Kashmir.

Brahui:  [brh] South central, Quetta and Kalat region, east Baluchistan and Sind provinces. Also in   4,000,000 in Pakistan (2011). Population total all countries: 4,220,000 Alternate Names: Birahui, Brahuidi, Brahuigi, Kur Galli Dialects: Jharawan, Kalat, Sarawan. Kalat is standard dialect, Jharawan is lowland. 



Shina, Khowar, Gojri, Kashmiri , Bagri, Balti, Dari, Dhatki, Hazargi, Jadgali, Indus kohistani, Koli Kachi, Parkrai koli, Marwari are Pakistani  languages having papulation ranging 100,000 to 500,000.

Languages of Punjab

Punjabi, Saraiki and Hindko are most important languages of Punjab, Pakistan.


1. Punjabi language:

It is spoken in Lahore, Gujranwala & Sialkot. It is also called Majhi.


2. Saraiki language:


Multani, Riasti, Derewali and  Thalochi are Standard Saraiki. Jhangvi, Chenaveri & Sahiwali are Eastern Saraiki. 
 Chakwali, Ghebi, Jandali & Shahpuri are also Saraiki.


3. Hindko language:



Pothohari is Hindko.












Multani, Riasti, Derewali, Thalochi & Shahpuri are Standard Saraiki. Jhangvi, Chenaveri & Sahiwali are Eastern Saraiki. Chakwali, Jandiali and Kohati are Northern Saraiki.

Saraiki Language

Saraiki is an important language of Pakistan. Saraiki is also spoken in   Sri Ganganagar district.  and   Fazilka   India,  Afghanistan ,U A E, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, South Africa, the United States , Canada and  United Kingdom

According to a letter No 20-/R&D/09 dated 20-01-2010,  of Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, Islamabad. The number speaker of Saraiki Language are more than 120 Millions. 
Combining all the sources in Pakistan 40% people are Saraiki.

The above letter is issued by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. The letters confirms that in 2010  there were more than 120 million Saraiki People. This population may also contain the people who speak another language as their mother tongue also speak Saraiki  as a second language.  According to the Census of Pakistan in 1998 the Population of Saraiki Region was 40 million, where the total population of Pakistan was 135 million. To day the population of Saraiki Region is 60 million. The non-Saraiki in Saraiki Region are equal to the Saraiki People in Punjabi region. So there are 60 million Saraiki people. In Sindh there are 20 million Saraiki people. Hence in Pakistan the Saraiki people are more than 80 million. If we count other dialects similar to Saraiki this Population may cross 100 million.


In India Punjab, Delhi and Haryana Saraiki  population is more than 20% . In this way there are more than 15 million Saraiki in these three states of India.
